Driving in waves

An eve at beach would be very normal. Usual crowd, ice cream, pop con, children etc. If you are going for some peace in mind, I am sure you wont find it there.

Last week i had a trip to Muzhapilangad beach at Tellicherry, old city of Kannur district. Known for the longest driving beach in Asia. (According to local men, I have no proof in books or records). Well its about 5 kilometers in length. You can drive a small car without worries. Still quiet and peaceful and very green as natural treasure. Thank God. Its not ruined by beach development projects.Not so plastic wastes will trouble you there.

I have been to many beaches in Kerala, I bet you its the quietest even in rainy season.Not so frightening waves or Mini tsunamis. No red flags or rocks. Beauty is added up with freshness. Sands finish up like mirror in waves. And a small island you can walk up to, where no one lives, you can be your own Robinson Crusoe there.;-)

Medical secrets

A very fine day after I have decided there is no more stay at Trivandrum, thinking the things to be done before my farewell, the mobile sounded famous sony ericsson tune in the early morning. It was my friend studying at medal college asking for some help.

The very thought ended with lot of patch works to be done with my teeth. I had got 'not enough' time to consult a dentist in last five years.Quickly planned for a hospital visit and told him to take an outpatient ticket.

I got quickly diagnosed even though it was very rush week. If you dont have some one there you will get an appointment three weeks later.

The state of hospital was very pathos. Tools and chairs made my thoughts to travel 'Maharaja' age. Queue of patients resembles 'BEVCO' in New year eve . Senior docs sitting like crocodile. Experienced kill time by flirting. And the whole burden fell on junior students who runs towards all patients.

A little girl came wearing doctor's coat near me. I thought some doctor's little daughter rehearsing her drama. I congratulated her for her act. She smiled and said "I am your dentist". OMG!!! .I just sat on the chair . She brought the toolbox for the 'Mega operation'. I have got no choice.. open my mouth, close my eyes and pray for a better afterlife. The dentist lamp is not working and I dont know whether she has enough eyesight to be a dentist.She drilled my tooth in every angle and cut my tongue three times. :'(  Tolerating all pain I sat with patience. Fearing the scolding worrying about the accident more than the patient, the doc said sorry for every 30 seconds. Finally the terrific drilling and filling operation of a single,simple tooth finished after tremendous  two hours. I just woke up and ran to hostel for life..

Now I know why people dont prefer medical colleges for treatment even though other hospitals are mEdicals (മേടിക്കല്‍സ്)..

"Dubber man"

A well bored day sitting in front of the books dreaming about impossible things, I could recollect something about my blogs and past. I searched the room for the ‘new story’ for my blog. Resting on my table crossing my hands after searching long time for a ‘tajanstven’. My eyes catched the pile of ‘dubber bands’ at the corner of the table. The remainder of our food parcels.


Yes, we have no canteen or mess hall; we used to eat food outside till last month. And some of our friends found out a man who delivers food at your doorsteps three times a day. Its homely food and you need to pay nominally. The food was covered with a wrapper and tied with rubber band. We keep our rubber bands and threw the food waste to bin.

The term ‘dubber band’ is used when we were at Kindergarten and its main purpose was in the ‘dubber band shooter’. A small elastic ‘device’ made by tying some rubber bands and plugs in a ‘Y’ shaped stick. Which can shoot thick paper pieces towards anything and anyone. Was our primary weapon at nursery times .

I tied some rubber bands together to make the shooter. No.. its really not working as a solution for the blog. I angrily threw them on my table.. Whew..!!! the arrangement it took at the table shown some lights in me.. Tried to arrange them in many combination gave me my wonderful ‘dubber man’ 

Some plate concepts

A plate is “Dish on which food is served or from which food is eaten” according to the WordWeb Dictionary. According to me it’s a prime discovery of human being like wheel and fire. A multipurpose, multishaped, multimaterialed and multicolored object which has got its most important objective on helping out human in one of the primary need  –food.

A plate has got many purposes in the society. While normal people found its use in eating and distributing food, beggars, political and religious organizations etc have another good agenda with plates –collecting money. And even some psychos gather various types of plates for their collection. I fear if I describe all the areas where plates are utilized, google will have to expand its datacenter upto Jupiter.

Plates can be made up of most of the materials available in planet earth. Plastic, steel, Gold, Porcelain and diamond etc are used for manufacturing of plates. Greener solutions are with natural recyclable resources like paper, plant leaves and planks of wood. The normal usage and the plate material usage are directly proportional to the money in hand factor of people.

Enough for the concept.  The above shot was taken at my study table while waiting for the food parcel to be delivered by the catering agent. 

Mangifera Similiaritica

What is this fruit? Anyone have some idea? Will tell you the features. It has pleasant odor like a passion fruit, shape like a ripe mango, without any seed or lengthy fiber or sweet flesh inside. Skin is thinner than passion fruit but thicker than a mango.

I have queried all my inmates about this tajanstven fruit and the result was zero(The main objective was whether it can be eaten). Everyone failed  at least to classify the object. So  I thought I will have to do the process for science J. May be a class of ‘Mangifera’ and a name ‘Similiaritica’ (as similar to mango) will do the purpose and send a file to International Commission for Scientific Nomenclature.

The theory of discovery of fruit is described below.

The eve of World Labor day emptied the streets of Trivandrum. Me along with my roomie having a road trip on my antique bike after boring studies (Compelled to be studied). Oops something fell in front of us and we missed the hit. Stopped the bike and looked back.. “Wow a big Mango”.. leapt over and took it, jumped back to bike in a flash(We were not intelligent like Newton to think). There was two reason for the quick action. We don’t wanna others take the great treasure before us and we couldn’t tolerate a fame name “Mango thieves” if the secretariat camera take our snap. ;)

Rushed back to hostel, picked the knife, and cut the fruit in two pieces. Big for me and Small for my roomie.. ;) OMG.. I was April fooled after a month.. L
